NEW ORLEANS – The November games of the MAC-SBC Challenge were announced by the Sun Belt Conference office on Thursday. Both Texas State men's and women's basketball will face Eastern Michigan on Nov. 4 with the men playing inside Strahan Arena while the women travel to Vpsilanti, Michigan.
Both the men's and women's meetings with Eastern Michigan will be the respective program's first meetings in program history.
Last season, the Eagle women finished the 2023-24 season with a 7-22 overall with a 3-15 record in the Mid-American Conference. They played Georgia Southern and South Alabama in the 2023-24 MAC-SBC Challenge, losing 58-82 to the Golden Eagles and beating the Jaguars 81-69.
