ATLANTA – A late two-run homer off the bat of was the difference as 13th-ranked Texas State (44-11, 26-4 Sun Belt) defeated Georgia State 4-3 Saturday afternoon at the GSU Baseball Complex to complete the sweep. The Bobcats completed the regular season with a 15-0 record on the road in Sun Belt Conference games, the first team in league history to accomplish the feat.
Throwing seven-solid innings was (4-0) to earn the win. The right-hander struck out six in seven innings while allowing two runs, one of them earned, on seven hits. Picking up his first career save was as he tossed the final two innings with one strikeout.
