Right-hander Yu Darvish continued a minor-league injury-rehabilitation assignment by working three innings on Friday with Round Rock, the Texas Rangers' Triple-A affiliate.
Darvish, coming back from Tommy John surgery, threw 50 pitches as scheduled against New Orleans of the Miami organization. He allowed one run and three base-runners on two hits and a walk. Former teammate Tomas Telis drove in the run with a single.
Darvish again hit 97 with the fastball, but his command of secondary pitches was inconsistent. He had 30 strikes and 20 balls.
In two rehab starts, Darvish has thrown 82 pitches in five innings.
