The New York Yankees have acquired Jazz Chisholm from the Miami Marlins for prospects Agustin Ramirez, Jared Serna and Abrahan Ramirez, it was announced today.
Chisholm, 26, was originally signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks, and was traded to the Miami Marlins at the trade deadline in 2-10 for Zac Gallen. He appeared to be breaking out as a star in 2022 before a stress fracture in his back ended his season, and he hasn’t hit as well in the past two seasons. A second baseman early in his career, he moved to center field in 2023. It is not clear what position he will play for the Yankees.
