Ask the Rangers about the return of Jeff Banister to Globe Life Park this week and you are as likely to get a shoulder shrug as any kind of answer.

Banister, the Rangers manager for two AL West titles and the major league debuts of Joey Gallo and Nomar Mazara to name two, will be with the Pittsburgh Pirates Tuesday when they come to Texas for the first half a pair of two-game home-and-home series over the next week. The Rangers go to Pittsburgh for the first time since 2007 next week.
