CINCINNATI -- It is Father’s Day weekend. The summer solstice is just around the corner.
In the world of the Rangers, this seems to mean one thing: Rougned Odor’s bat awakens.
On the way to a 7-1 win over Cincinnati Friday, Odor produced the most significant signs to date that maybe his long spring time nightmare is over. He walked three times and hit a game-turning grand slam to drive the Rangers’ offense on a night when the bullpen worked as an ensemble in place of a designated starter.
For the night, the Rangers bullpen did what was necessary.
