ARLINGTON -- One last opening day at the Globe, one last zoom of a flyover, one last pitch from the governor, one long line of fans waiting for a last look. Maybe in the next Globe the Rangers can figure out how to get a party started. At least the manager is trying to lighten things up.
Gone are the framed bromides in the manager's office. No more bombast in the discourse.
No more football in the clubhouse.
"I'm not gonna make any Knute Rockne-type speeches," Chris Woodward said.
In case you were wondering: The new manager wasn't taking any shots at his predecessor, Jeff Banister.
