ARLINGTON - For the first five weeks of the season, Delino DeShields had been laid bare by opposing pitchers and perhaps his own desire for excellence.
On Wednesday, it was his teammates' turn to do the trick.
They mobbed him after he rounded first with a full-count, two-out walkoff single to give the Rangers a 2-1 12-inning win over Baltimore. It staved off the possibility - at least for the night - of losing a series to the lowly Orioles. And it capped off a four-hit night for DeShields, tying his career high.
