Morning, all!
The Rangers were just an out away from being no hit last night, with Corey Seager coming up big with a two out, two run homer in the ninth.
Tyler Mahle had a decent outing in his return from Tommy John surgery, and says he wasn’t really cognizant of Framber Valdez’s no hit bid because there were a bunch of players sitting in front of him.
Mahle managed five innings with only one run allowed, which would be great if the offense was doing anything.
Valdez said he wasn’t disappointed about not locking up the no hit bid and that he’s just happy that the Astros won.
