Vladimir Guerrero, Jr., and Jo Adell are among the top prospects in baseball, but both players are going to be on the shelf for the rest of spring training, and in the case of Adell, well into the season.
Guerrero, the Toronto Blue Jays prospect who is thought to be major league ready, and is considered by some the top prospect in the game, has suffered an oblique injury that will sideline him for the next several weeks. Adell, meanwhile, wiped out while running the bases yesterday, and an MRI has revealed a grade 2 right ankle sprain and a grade 1 left hamstring strain, his team, the Los Angeles Angels, announced today, and will be out for 10-12 weeks.
