Dallas Jesuit shortstop Jordan Lawlar is the #1 player on McDaniel’s rankings, while California high school shortstop Marcelo Mayer is #2 on the list.
While Vanderbilt pitchers Jack Leiter and Kumar Rocker were, coming into the year, generally considered the top players on the board, as the spring has progressed and the amateur season has played out, Lawlar moved up into the top tier early on, and Mayer has joined Lawlar on the top of the lists.
