Phillips allowed just 2 hits (one a home run) and one walk while striking out 3. This is the sixth straight outing he has allowed 3 earned runs or less (though he allow 3 earned and 4 unearned runs his last time out). The strikeout totals are still lower than you would like to see, but Phillips is making headway. In relief, Demarcus Evans struck out 2 of the 3 batters he faced in a scoreless 9th, lowering his ERA at AA to 1.
