Reds 8, Rangers 4
- That was quite a bleah game.
- At least the Rangers didn’t get shut out. At least they didn’t get one hit. That meager rally in the ninth inning moved the hit total up and made the final score hit quite as bad as it could have been.
- Davis Wendzel hit his first major league homer. Corey Seager hit a homer on his birthday to break a homerless streak. Those things are positive.
- Michael Lorenzen pitched better than five runs allowed in six innings looks. In a game where the Rangers were ahead, or were even close, or weren’t looking like they might not score a run all game, Lorenzen is done with a quality start and the bullpen takes over.
