Blue Jays 7, Rangers 3
- An unpleasant Saturday afternoon in Toronto.
- For the most part this season, Rangers starters have avoided the disaster outing. They got a disaster outing today, from Michael Lorenzen, who threw 40 pitches, recorded two outs, and gave up four runs.
- Lorenzen was a vital piece of the rotation the first few months of the season, and his signing allowed the team to weather the injuries to the rotation early on. He also was putting up an ERA that was not supported by his peripherals, and it was unrealistic to expect him to continue to do that.
