Thoughts on a 12-4 Rangers loss

  • Matt Moore, once again, had awful command. Moore gave up 9 runs in the first two innings, burying the Rangers from the outset. He pitched through the fourth inning, allowing 10 runs in all, on 11 hits, including 3 home runs, a pair of walks, and one strikeout. It was a disastrous outing where he was left out there in large part so the bullpen wouldn’t have to eat a ton of innings today.
  • The quotes after the game are the same as what we’ve read before — the stuff was there, the command wasn’t.
