Pardon me if this sounds a bit like Jason Garrett, but at this stage in the Rangers' rebuild, all you can really do is consider the process.
The process goes something like this: To develop pitching -- which is, and has been since David Clyde's left arm was sacrificed to the God of Ticket Sales, a woefully unfulfilled goal -- the Rangers need to protect and insulate the thin crop of upper-level pitching prospects currently on hand. That is Step 1. Step 2: Enlarge that crop of pitching talent. Step 3: Actually develop them into productive big leaguers.
