ARLINGTON - The Rangers aren't technically entering uncharted territory with Mike Minor; it is more like they are hacking their way-overgrown vegetation looking for a lost city of gold.
They know there are more innings to be re-discovered for Minor; they just don't know how many more. Each start going forward is going to make the adventure a little more perilous as they somewhat blindly seek that treasure.
There is no easy formula for figuring out what's right for a guy who missed two full seasons.
On Friday, Minor pitched six innings in the Rangers' 5-4 10-inning loss to Houston.
