The Texas Rangers have a new Triple-A affiliate.
The club announced on Tuesday that it has agreed to a four-year Player Development Contract with the Nashville Sounds of the Pacific Coast League, extending through the 2022 season.
A formal announcement of the agreement will be made at a press conference at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at First Tennessee Park in Nashville. Rangers and Sounds ownership and management will be participating in the press conference.
“The Texas Rangers are very pleased to enter into this four-year player development contract with the Nashville Sounds,” said Texas Rangers Co-Chairman and Managing Partner Ray Davis in a press release.
