ARLINGTON - The Rangers did not come from behind to win a game Tuesday night.
For the first time in a week, they did not need to.
Yu Darvish smothered Philadelphia. Nomar Mazara and Jonathan Lucroy, both heating up, gave him a lead and then extended it in what became a 5-1 Rangers win. It was also their seventh straight win and, perhaps most importantly, it got them to .500 for the first time this season.
Their goals are much higher than simply getting back to even. But you have to start somewhere. And for the first time all year those possibilities are starting to come into focus.
