ARLINGTON -- With age comes wisdom.
Delino DeShields turned a bit older Thursday and on Friday, sporting a wrap on his newly-fractured right middle finger, sounded a whole lot wiser.
In what has become a disjointed season, DeShields, who turned 26 Thursday, landed on the disabled list for the third time Friday the victim of a fastball that kept running in on him during an abortive bunt attempt a night earlier. It caught just enough of his finger to cause the fracture. The Rangers recalled Drew Robinson to replace DeShields.
Just another in a litany of misfortune in a painful and forgettable year.
