Texas Rangers transactions: Elvis Andrus has been activated from the 60 day disabled list today, and pitcher Ricky Rodriguez has been recalled from AAA Round Rock. The Rangers had cleared a 25 man roster spot yesterday by optioning Ryan Rua to AAA Round Rock. To clear a second roster spot, the Rangers have optioned catcher Jose Trevino to AA Frisco. No announcement has been made yet as to the move to clear a 40 man roster spot for Elvis.
Andrus replacing Rua on the roster was expected, as today was the day targeted for Elvis’s return from a rehab assignment, and Rua was optioned yesterday.
