Expanding on a few current hot Rangers topics in the wake of Saturday's 8-2 loss to Seattle:
There was a lot to discuss on social media Saturday night (do you people not go out and party?). From my perspective, given the circumstances of having a tired bullpen and facing an inexperienced starter, it was the single-most disappointing effort by the Rangers offense of the season. So let's start there.
The offense managed two runs: A second-inning homer by Joey Gallo and a ninth-inning homer by Mike Napoli. In between, they were hitless in four at-bats with runners in scoring position against rookie Chase De Jong (with one major league start under his belt) and a Seattle bullpen that was at least as tired as their own.
