Former Texas Rangers pitcher Mike Jeffcoat is currently the head baseball coach for Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth. Jeffcoat, who has been the head coach there since 2002, is under investigation, according to the university, due to an email that he sent a high school player, which is making the rounds on social media.
In the email, apparently in response to an inquiry from a high school baseball player, Jeffcoat says he isn't recruiting players from Colorado (where marijuana is currently decriminalized) due to concerns about them passing a drug test, and says, "You can thank your liberal politicians.
