Texas Rangers willing to wait a while longer for Matt Bush rather than DL him

SEATTLE - The Rangers appear to be willing to wait for Matt Bush.

Bush, who hasn't pitched since Sunday because of a sore AC Joint in his shoulder, played catch Friday afternoon without issue. He will throw a light bullpen Saturday and manager Jeff Banister left open the possibility he could be available as early as Saturday's game. Sunday, however, seems more realistic.

Bush received a cortisone injection into the joint Wednesday. He said it has been bothering him since spring training, but Rangers medical personnel suggested a conservative approach that would not call for an injection until it reached the "unmanageable" stage.
