The Texas Rangers have signed veteran relief pitcher Zach McAllister to a one year deal, the team announced today. McAllister, 31, is a righthander who has spent the bulk of his career with the Cleveland Indians. The reports from the national reporters indicate that it is for $1 million.
McAllister was a starter for the Indians in 2012-14, but has pitched almost exclusively out of the pen since that time. He was a solid pen arm for Cleveland until 2018, when he got released after putting up a 4.
