The Texas Rangers have agreed to a deal with 16 year old outfielder D’Vaughn Knowles from the Bahamas, according to Jesse Sanchez on Twitter. Sanchez notes that Knowles trains at the International Elite Sports Academy in Nassau, which is also where Keithron Moss, signed by the Rangers yesterday, trains.

Sanchez says the deal is for $500,000, which, when combined with the signings of Moss and former Braves prospect Yenci Pena, leaves the team with about $1.75 million remaining for any other J-2 signings in this year’s class.

Knowles’ twin brother D’Shawn Knowles signed with the Angels at the outset of the J-2 signing period five months ago.
