Texas Rangers transactions: David Carpenter, veteran righthanded reliever, has had his contract purchased from AAA Nashville, the Rangers announced today. To make room for Carpenter on the 25 man roster, outfielder Zack Granite has been optioned. The Rangers’ 40 man roster had been at 39, so no additional move was needed to add Carpenter to the 40 man roster.
