The Texas Rangers have placed center fielder Delino DeShields on the 7-day DL due to post-concussion symptoms. His symptoms date back to the July 11th game against the Boston Red Sox, per club insight. In place of DeShields, Drew Robinson has been recalled from Triple-A Round Rock.
Robinson struggled mightily in 26 games with the Rangers at the beginning of the year. He hit .175 with one home run and 45 strikeouts in 80 at-bats. Though, he’s performed well in the minors since being sent down, currently hitting .308 with eight home runs and a .374 OBP at Round Rock.
