Just as the Rangers offense was starting to heat up, it has lost one of it's hottest hitters.
The club announced Monday that center fielder Carlos Gomez will head to the 10 day disabled list Tuesday with a strained right hamstring. He will miss 4-6 weeks, according to the club. Gomez left Sunday's game after grabbing his hamstring seconds after crossing home plate with a run. He underwent an MRI exam on Monday. The Rangers will call up a replacement Tuesday.
Gomez, 31, was in a 7 for 14 stretch with three doubles over the four games that led up to his injury.
