OAKLAND, Calif. - Matt Bush is in. Sam Dyson is out. Keone Kela is back.
Welcome to the 2017 version of the Rangers Great Bullpen Scramble. It's becoming an annual event.
For the third time in three years, the Rangers quickly pulled the plug on a slumping closer. Dyson officially went to the 10-day DL with a right-hand contusion that most likely serves as a screen to allow him to go the minor leagues for several outings and restart his season. Manager Jeff Banister said Bush would get the first chances to close out games; not surprising given Bush's overwhelmingly dominant 11-pitch inning Sunday.
