The Texas Rangers are losing their prized lefty Brock Burke for the 2020 season after having surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder. Dr. Keith Meister will perform the surgery on Friday back in Dallas. Burke’s recovery is expected to take up to 12 months.
Brock Burke will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left shoulder to repair fraying and a partial tear of his labrum on Friday. He is expected to missed the entire 2020 season.
Burke was acquired in the three-team trade with Oakland and Tampa Bay last offseason for Jurickson Profar.
