Travis Demeritte, the Texas Rangers' minor league infielder who has been serving an 80 game suspension for performance enhancing drugs, has been activated and assigned to the short-season A Spokane Indians of the Northwest League.
Demeritte, the 30th overall pick in the 2013 draft out of Winder, Georgia, had a .211/.310/.450 line while playing for Hickory in 2014, with 25 home runs. He had a .241/.343/.412 line this season for Hickory in 48 games before being hit with the suspension.
