All year-long Keone Kela and Jake Diekman have been the talk of the Texas Rangers bullpen. And they should be. Both have pitched well, both work important late inning jobs and both are front and center in trade rumors. Though, let’s turn the spotlight to one of the lesser names in the Texas bullpen: Jesse Chavez.
Chavez has been surprisingly dominant for much of the year. He got off to a rough start; however, his ERA has dropped to a very impressive 3.26. In fact, he has allowed just eight earned runs over his last 33.2 innings pitched (since the start of May).
