Adrian Beltre is the first player born in the Dominican Republic to have 3,000 hits. Furthermore, he’s the 31st player to reach the 3,000-hit milestone and he’s one of the youngest players to do so. In fact, Beltre joins the likes of Rafael Palmeiro and Ichiro Suzuki as players born out of the United States to join the 3,000 hit club.
According to ESPN’s Mark Simon, Beltre is the fourth player in history to have 3,000 hits, 450 home runs, and 600 doubles in his career. Simon further states Beltre is the second player in history to have at least 750 hits while playing for three ball clubs and he’s the third player whose primary position is the third base position to reach 3,000 hits.
