ARLINGTON -- There will be tension in the air on Sunday when the Texas Rangers finish a series against American League West rival Houston at Globe Life Park.
On Saturday night, Rangers batters were hit three times by pitches in an 8-3 win. The Astros twice plunked former teammate Carlos Gomez, released buy the club last summer.
"It's puzzling,'' said Rangers manager Jeff Banister, in a strident tone.
The Rangers hit two Houston batters, and reliever Matt Bush knocked down George Springer with a high fastball in the seventh inning.
Gomez has been hit by a pitch 15 times this season.
