The Texas Rangers have activated left handed pitcher Taylor Hearn. To make room for Hearn on the active roster, the Rangers have sent down outfielder Adolis Garcia.
Hearn spent most of the 2019 season on the injured list after straining his shoulder in a disastrous major league debut against the Seattle Mariners. The 25 year had a strong spring training, though, and was considered to be likely to break camp with the team out of the bullpen. Hearn ended up not making the Opening Day roster, however, and there has been little talk of him before today, which had me wondering if there was a physical issue or something similar sidelining him.
