Taylor Hearn. Texas Rangers pitching prospect and current member of the Nashville Sounds staff, made his third start of the year tonight. Hearn had a somewhat successful outing, striking out 7 of the 18 batters he faced while allowing just 1 run and 2 hits. However, Hearn also walked three batters, hit a batter and had a wild pitch, and he needed 92 pitches to get through his four innings of work.
A pair of very different lefty relievers for Nashville had very divergent performances as well. C.D. Pelham has his second straight bad outing, walking all three batters he faced and throwing just 5 of 17 pitches for strikes.
