SEATTLE -- Look away. It was hideous.
Good thing almost nobody was watching.
Boxed into a corner by injuries and a lack of more experienced depth pitching options, the Rangers called up Royce City's Taylor Hearn to make his major league start late Thursday. It happened while the Stars were starting the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs and Kyler Murray hysteria was sweeping the NFL draft. And, if you didn't tune in quickly to the Rangers, you probably didn't see Hearn pitch.
Hearn, who had made just four starts above Double-A, retired just one of the eight batters he faced on the way an all-around embarrassment of a loss for the Rangers.
