The Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to terms with free agent closer Tanner Scott on a four year, $72 million deal, per reports.
The 30 year old Scott was originally part of the Baltimore Orioles’ organization, putting up a 4.73 ERA over 170 appearances for them before being dealt to the Miami Marlins prior to the 2022 season. Scott put up a 4.31 ERA and a 3.67 FIP in 2022 while saving 20 games for Miami, but then took a big step forward in 2023, dropping his walk rate by more than 50% while putting up a 2.
