Stubbs also played 38 games for Triple-A Albuquerque this season, batting .263 with two home runs and 20 RBIs. Stubbs has a career .245 batting average over 815 Major League games with Cincinnati (2009-12), Cleveland ('13) and Colorado ('14-15), primarily playing center field.
Stubbs is a native of Atlanta, Texas, and he attended the University of Texas before being selected in the first round (eighth overall) by the Reds in the 2006 Draft.
