The Rangers have fired pitching coach Doug Brocail on Monday, a source confirmed to Sportsday's Evan Grant. MLB.com's TR Sullivan first reported the news.
Rangers have informed Doug Brocail he will not return to staff, per source. This had been assumed for a while, but not announced.

Brocail was hired in 2016 after the Rangers and former pitching coach Mike Maddux decided to mutually part ways at the end of the 2015 season. Texas ranked 27th in team ERA, and 30th in strikeouts out of 30 teams in 2018.
