Shin-Soo Choo injured his right hand when he jammed it sliding into home plate in the fourth inning of today’s game between the Texas Rangers and the Seattle Mariners. He scored on the plate, and since he was the DH he didn’t go out in the field in the bottom of the inning, but he was replaced by Eli White when his spot came back up.
Choo has x-rays on his hand, and the team indicated they were negative. We shall see if there are any lingering effects, but I suspect Choo will be back in the lineup in the near future.
