The Texas Rangers have signed righthanded relief pitcher Nabil Crismatt to a minor league deal, per reports from the beats. Crismatt is joining the AAA Round Rock Express roster.
The 29 year old Crismatt is a depth signing who has the potential to help the beleaguered Rangers bullpen at some point. Originally signed by the New York Mets as an amateur free agent out of Colombia, Crismatt made it to the majors with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2020. Released after the season, he spent the next two and a half years with the San Diego Padres before being released in 2023, then finishing out the season in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization.
