Seager leaves game after HBP

Related Topics: Corey Seager

Corey Seager left tonight’s game against the Baltimore Orioles after being hit by a pitch in the top of the fifth inning. He immediately went into the dugout, and was replaced by pinch hitter Davis Wendzel.

Seager had homered earlier in the game for his 15th bomb of the season, which tied him for the team lead with Adolis Garcia. He has, in recent weeks, been one of the few Rangers providing offense. He is presumably going to get x-rays. If they are clean, hopefully he only is out through the weekend. If a bone is broken, he will be out multiple weeks and, honestly, I will throw in the towel on the 2024 season and begin looking to 2025.
