There are injury updates on Max Scherzer, Jon Gray and Evan Carter from the beats.
Scherzer threw a bullpen today, per the beats, throwing around 40 pitches. Scherzer indicated afterwards he has to see how he feels tomorrow, but if all is good, it sounds like he’d go out on a rehab assignment after that. I’m guessing Scherzer would do at least three rehab appearances, but that’s just a guess.
Jon Gray also threw a bullpen session today, with around the same number of pitches as Scherzer. Gray, who went on the injured list with a groin strain, could be activated as soon as Friday.
