The Texas Rangers have activated pitcher Josh Sborz from the injured list, it was announced today. To make room for Sborz on the active roster, the Rangers have optioned pitcher Grant Anderson to AAA Round Rock. In addition, the team announced last night that Jared Walsh cleared waivers, was outrighted to AAA Round Rock, rejected the assignment, and is now a free agent.
Sborz was expected back at some point this week, with the question being how many rehab appearances he would make. The answer turned out to be “one,” which Bruce Bochy kind of hinted at yesterday, indicating that they were going to talk to Sborz and then make a decision.
