This seems as good a place as any to jump into news that Rougned Odor, proud son of Venezuela, is expected to sign a six-year contract extension with the Rangers. Multiple sources Saturday confirmed only formalities prohibit the deal, expected to be worth $49.5 million in guaranteed money, from being announced. The contract, which will go into effect this year, will also include a club option for 2023 that could take the value of the deal to $62 million.
