Rougned Odor shows signs in win over Braves his bat could help fuel the Rangers' Beltre-less offense

ATLANTA - The last time the Rangers lost Adrian Beltre, Rougned Odor tried hard to fill the void.

Maybe the answer, as the late manager Johnny Oates used to say: Try easier.

Odor focused more on finding pitches than on taking big swings and the results were noticeable. He had three RBIs and perhaps the most complete set of at-bats he's had in a game this season in the Rangers' 8-2 win over Atlanta Monday.

It pushed the Rangers back over .500 and within two games of the second AL wild card spot with 25 games remaining on the schedule.
