Rougned Odor, Rangers show they are on the road back to where they were last year

HOUSTON -- They gave him $50 million and a pair of horses before the season ever started. It was a clear message the Rangers expect 23-year-old Rougned Odor to be the bellwether for the organization.

As goes, Odor, so go the Rangers.

Yep, seems to be holding true.

Just 10 days ago, Odor was getting embarrassed by the Houston Astros and his presence dropping. Same for the Rangers. And yet on Tuesday, with a 4-2 win over Houston, the Rangers had won five straight, scrambled back to .500 and were on the verge of sweeping the Astros and cutting the deficit in the AL West back to single digits.
