Texas Rangers transactions: Ronald Guzman has been placed on the 10 day disabled list with a strained hamstring, the team announced today. To take his place on the active roster, Patrick Wisdom has been recalled from AAA Nashville.
Guzman strained his hamstring in the third inning of yesterdays game while running to second base on a double, and was replaced by Logan Forsythe. It appears that Forsythe, the team’s primary backup infielder, will be getting the playing time at first base for the near term, with Wisdom, a righthanded hitting corner infielder, assuming a bench role.
